The brewery is located in the heart of the Normandy countryside near Bayeux, focusing on the new artisan approach of brewing beer. However, the current brands (Viper Head & Evil Apple) offer a full range of barrel ageing ideas as well as heavy hopping regimes.

Brasserie Normandie  also offers the possibility for future brewers to discover if opening a brewery would be a perfect option for them, while offering the possibility for existing brewers to collaborate or contract brew on our site.

The head brewer, Lisle Wallace is happy to welcome all requests for information, starting with a homebrew recipe, all the way to contract brewing …. The brewery is set up to promote brewing in general, but also to specifically create a point in Normandy for the Artisanal and growing beer movement.

All our beers are unfiltered, unpasteurized and packaged in the bottle, cans and kegs.

All visits are strictly by appointment, but groups are particularly welcome, just contact us before visiting

VISITOR RATES

Individuals:

8€ per person – small beer samples included*

Groups:

(8+ adults) 7€ per person – small beer samples included*, plus meats and canapes.

Student groups (under 18)* welcome – focus on production methods and business modules.

*Only Adults (18+) will be allowed to sample any beer

01. OUR HOPS

Always fresh and vibrant – Cryo ™, extract, Pellet or Leaf or a mix of all of them – we use whatever is best on the market

02. SPICY CHARACTER

Several of our beers benefit from different spices – try Marauder, with the addition of Coriander seeds in the best Belgian tradition

03. HAZE

Haze and Murk…all things to be welcomed – we don’t filter our beers (this takes out flavour) and often add Oats and other tasty haze producing ingredients; don’t be scared! Its all flavour

04. YEAST

We use several strains and often use more than one or our house yeast to create unique finishes.

05. PRIMING

Sometimes we prime, sometimes we force carbonate – it just depends on packaging and what suits the style

06. MALTED GRAINS

Where to start? Sometimes we use 1 or 2 Malts, sometimes we use over 10!
